Lewis Capaldi breaks silence on Love Island ex Paige Turley saying he wants a slice of the £50k if she wins

LEWIS Capaldi has broken his silence on his ex Paige Turley appearing on Love Island – saying he wants a slice of the £50k if she wins.

The hit singer admitted that he had no idea she was doing the show but wished her “luck” despite the fact she cheated on him with his best mate.

Speaking on New Zealand show The Edge, Lewis said: “She never told me she was going on it. That would have been a nice heads up.

“But fair play and good luck to her.

“I’ll be f***ing watching it – like go on Paige, come on.

“When she’s on a date with a boy I’ll be like come on kiss him. I hope she wins.”

He added: “I’ve known her for years. 18 when we first met, 19 when we started going out, 20 when we finished going out.

“It was a very amicable breakup.”

Ever the joker, the No1 star hinted Paige should share her £50,000 Love Island winnings if she triumphs in the final.

The Sun previously revealed the glam Scot cheated on the singer with his best mate, inspiring his biggest hit to date.

They dated for more than a year after they met in college, but it emerged Paige had a fling with Garry Greig, one of Lewis’s closest friends.

Namedropping Lewis as she entered the villa, Paige said: “One of my ex boyfriends is Lewis Capaldi. According to the papers his song Some One You Loved was about me.

“Lewis, I’m so sorry I must have been a b***h” to you.”

It comes as viewers begged producers to send Lewis into the notorious Casa Amor after Paige apologised for being a “b****” during last night’s launch episode.

One person tweeted: “If the producers don’t spend their whole budget getting Lewis Capaldi in for Casa amor then they have failed us all.”

Casa Amor is the second “secret” villa on the show which over previous series, has been the location for a set of new girls or new boys to be introduced.
